Coaches teams to turn differences into strengths
Hi, I’m Barbara
I’ve always loved learning broadly and sharing what I learn to make life a little better for the people around me. That instinct—be curious, be useful—still guides the way I coach leaders and teams today.
I grew up watching my mom build a great life for our family by focusing on what matters most. Later, I married Tom, and I’ve had 58 years of world-class coaching at home.
Life has also handed us deep challenges. Including the loss of our daughter at 29. That loss changed me.
It reminded me that everyone carries burdens we can’t see—and that kindness, listening, and clarity aren’t “nice to have.” They’re essential to leadership and life.
In 2008, I discovered the strengths movement and became a certified Leading From Your Strengths (LFYS) facilitator.
I started by learning about myself, then invited others to try it.
The “aha” moments were immediate: teammates understood why they clashed, couples learned to appreciate differences, and leaders began using people’s wiring as an asset rather than a problem.
Since then, I’ve administered LFYS to individuals from many nationalities and worked with teams across industries.
Many of my clients stay with me for years, often through a successful sale or transition. Why? Because clear communication and healthy teams make everything else easier.
At Doescher Group, I help owner-operators and their teams communicate better, resolve friction faster, and turn differences into strengths.
Using the LFYS assessment and practical coaching, I give leaders a shared language to understand themselves and each other, reduce avoidable conflict, and align roles to natural wiring.
Most owners don’t need another lecture on culture.
They need practical tools to defuse tension, shorten meetings, and make better calls together.
That’s what I bring: a calm, compassionate approach grounded in real life, and coaching that turns insight into habit.
My goal isn’t to make everyone the same—it’s to help people see each other clearly, work with differences, and move in the same direction when it matters most.
My job is to bring calm, structure, and honest math to moments that feel high‑stakes—so you get to focus on building the business instead of chasing numbers.
Curiosity. Compassion. Integrity. Faith.
These are the values that have stuck with me throughout my life and career.
They shape how I listen, how I coach, and how I help teams work through what really matters.
