Hi, I’m Craig
First and foremost, I’m a husband and father. Meaning, I understand what your business success and ultimately your legacy means to you.
I grasp the gravity of what we are doing here. I understand the delicate balance of ensuring that both your true family and your family at your company thrive both while you’re at the helm of your business and long after you step away.
You are an expert at running your business. There’s no doubt about it. You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t. However, at critical points in the lifecycle of your business, there can be a need for expertise unrelated to building and sustaining your business. This subject matter can be largely grouped in financial topics related to understanding your financial performance, accessing external capital, and making deals.
Running your business operations is starkly different from knowing your financial results at a deep level, negotiating a deal to bring key employees into ownership, securing a growth loan for your business, or successfully finding the right investors to partner with or take your company to the next level. When it comes to these latter skills, we’re here to help you.
I believe there’s a better way, one that puts you, the client and your success, first.
Many years later it’s an honor and privilege to have built the Doescher Group from an individual to a team that has advised over 100 businesses, guiding them through their critical moments with confidence.
When I’m not at the helm of Doescher Group, being a finance and business geek, you’ll find me at the Crossfit gym, catching a round of golf, or playing fairies in the woods with my girls.
On a really great day, I can be found on a local ski hill teaching my girls the sport or out west getting in touch with my inner child with a GoPro camera strapped to my helmet as I drop off a cornice into a powder-laden chute.
If you have been looking for someone to help you successfully navigate the unfamiliar terrain of high finance and guide you through a critical chapter at the helm of your own business, I’m here to help.
Although I spent my early years in Manhattan as an investment banking analyst, reached the CFO role of a private equity-backed construction firm by my mid-30s, and successfully raised hundreds of millions in debt and equity for businesses, my passion has always been for self-made business owners.
I’ve worked and consulted for private businesses on operational and financial matters across a wide range of industries, including construction, manufacturing & distribution, business & engineering services, consumer products & services, home services, media, education & health care, and waste management, among others.
I believe that business owners just like you are the salt of the earth, making our lives better through your relentless innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
In prior positions, I saw so many capable, hard-working self-made business owners receiving poor advice at critical moments from those they’d entrusted to guide them.
If you’re the kind of person who prefers a list of what got me to where I am…

As thrilling as it can be to run a business and raise three girls, life can feel a little bourgeois at times. My solution is to get myself really scared by finding and negotiating the most challenging in-bounds ski terrain in the Rockies. Beyond the flight, I’m happy to hike great distances to find these spots, and enjoy the fruits of my labor seeing and skiing places that few on earth have the opportunity or capacity to see.

Growing up as a caddy at one of the most exclusive country clubs in my hometown, I was infused with a love and respect for the game. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized why it is so beloved by so many people. It’s accessible for all ages, you can never master it (every shot is a new adventure), and it’s one of the last places to “get away” from all of the technology and fast pace of life.
From May through October, you’ll find me conspiring to get out on the course. I’d love to play a round or hit some balls together. Let’s connect. -
I’m not that much of a techy, but I do love taking handwritten notes. I highly recommend the Remarkable for combining technology with the tactile experience of handwritten notes. I actually have an affiliate link if you want a discount on purchasing this, as it’s definitely pricey.
But I replaced my Moleskins with a Remarkable and never looked back!
